‘Always make NEW mistakes’
•
This is one -I’m constantly reminding myself in regards to running the business- and it carries over nicely to life.
•
Being a LIVE stream trainer- means I have the capability of bringing my work with me (to include crossing time zones when I travel) My meetings are based on PST, and I made a mistake with my 5:00 client yesterday (thinking 5:00am Denver time was 5:00am Spokane time) 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Thankfully, my client is the coolest, most patient, forgiving (I could go on...) person and was able to make it up later in the day.
•
This being said, I “beat” myself up a little bit for the mistake- but then made the correction-
•
In parenting, in business, in relationships, mistakes ARE inevitable- the thing I try and think about when extending the same forgiveness to myself that I would to someone who made a mistake-
Is to ensure that systems are set in place that they don’t happen again.
•
...and they might (but the hope) is that I keep setting up systems so they don’t.
•
Also- we’ve ALL been the one to make dumb mistakes- pulling out in front of an oncoming car, missing a deadline (thinking it was the next day?) forgetting our kids lost tooth the 16th time—so, remember to extend this forgiveness to not only YOURSELF- but to others when those SAME mistakes WE make, are made by them. ❤️
