My-OH-my, how flying has changed for me.
-
Where once I looked forward to finishing a book, or journaling- I now count each second we are in that freaking flying hot dog vessel- in hopes that my kiddo doesn’t lose it at any given one.
•
Thank you to the kind man who let us go in front of us at Quiznos while my toddler thought she was a contestant on supermarket sweep at the chip stand.
•
Thank you to the woman who helped me with our luggage going through security while my toddler was trying to lick the floor.
•
Thank you to the 47 people who shot me a kind smile or a wink while I sprinted for an hour at the gate chasing the next energizer buddy.
•
And thank you to the dollar store for having novel cheap toys that help me breathe for 14 seconds during the flight.
•
Did I get disapproving stares? FOR sure- but the kindness FAR outweighed it all yesterday. And I find that I can “find” a small community in the people I’m around- even at the airport ❤️
